- Total of 4 specimens
- (1) Plate @ 1” T x 7.5” W x 6” L
- (1) Plate @ 0.5” T x 6” W x 5” L
- (1) Pipe @ 8” Sch80 (180°) x 6” L
- (1) Pipe @12” Sch80 (90°) x 6” L
- Please note that one component of this kits design is for ease of transport.
- Specimens may be too small for some UT Search Units. If this is a concern consider our standard API-UT-1 Kit.
Flaws:
- Total of 12 flaws
- Flaws are randomly place ~2-4 each specimen
- Flaw placements will be mixed for multiple kit purchases.
- The flaw sizes are ~½ the nominal size of those found in our standard API-UT-1 Kit.
- 1” D/V Plate: HAZ Crack, Centerline Crack (mid volume) & Lack of Side Wall Fusion
- 0.5” S/V Plate: Root Crack, Slag Inclusion (mid volume) & Lack of Side Wall Fusion
- 8” Pipe: Toe Crack, Slag Inclusion (root area) & Group Porosity (mid volume)
- 12” Pipe: Toe Crack, Incomplete Penetration & Root Crack
