The Radiation Dose Distance Calculator was designed for use to aid radiography personnel in establishing safe working perimeters. However, it is also useful in the office to quickly calculate expected radiation levels for both Ir192 and Co60 sources under many activity, shielding, and distance conditions. It is not an exposure calculator. Though this scale is quite accurate, it does not remove user liability for regulatory required job site surveys.
